Rokurō "Roku" de borel, most famously known as "The Warrior Of Light" Came to Eorzea several years ago, hailing from the Sui-No-Sato village beneath the Ruby Sea.
As a child he often read stories about the surface world, daydreaming about it's heroes and scholars as if they were distant fairytales. When Dalamud fell marking the 7th Umbral Calamity Roku learned of it through the Kojin traders who visited his village.
Unable to bear the thought of such a beautiful world and it's people suffering as he lived in peace, he urged the priest of his village to help the world outside, though was instead met with an Exile. However, Hydaelyn spoke with him shortly after he surfaced from the ocean's waters, and granted him his echo.
Since making his way to Eorzea, Roku has been deternined to change the world for the better. At Thirty-Two years old he has fully embraced his position as a scion or thr seventh dawn. Though he works tirelessly to ensure the saftey of Eorzea, Roku feels no greater joy than befriending people from all walks of life, knowing he has impacted their lives for the better. There is nothing he would rather do-- nothing he would rather be than a Warrior Of Light.
Personality:Sourceless Hope: Roku is, in every sense of the word, the embodiment of hope, and it all circles back to his love for Hydaelyn as spoken about in the previous slide.He has so much unwavering faith in people and the world, and has always carried with him this very optimistic view on things. Roku, no matter what, will always choose hope.Inherent love for the people of Etheryis: To Roku, the world is full of things he has never seen, people he has never met, the mere concept of it is wonderful to him. Not to mention the people of Hydaelyn, who have struggled so much but still keep moving. In Eorzea he saw that despite the calamities, they still hoped for a better futures they still dreamed, they carried on. Often he will ask villagers he meets to teach him a song or a dance they know, to share their history with them, even if its just a story from their childhood. And he often still catches himself daydreaming about all the places he has and hastn’t seenOther general personality info:-Roku is a very gentle soul, always has been. He is incredibly kind, and nothing brings him more joy than helping people, or just being a positive part of their lives in whatever way he can.-He is also very empathetic and emotional, he feels incredibly deeply about things, and isn’t afraid to be openly emotional about them, leading him to also be very honest. Roku simply believes there is little reason to hide things from other people, especially his emotions,-With this comes the fact that he is actually, quite stubborn. Well-intentioned but stubborn nonetheless, because he believes very deeply in how he feels it also makes him one to not Really budge unless he has been given a very good reason to change his viewpoint.-Spoke about this a bit before but he is Very hopeful and in love with the world…even to a fault.-Somewhat related to his love and hope: He is very VERY curious about…everything. He Absolutely loves learning about the world, but more importantly it’s people, no matter who or where they come from. He believes everyone is important.
